I am restoring a boat with this motor. I need a few parts. For instance, the wiring harness (starting harness that plugs into the motor and goes to the starter box in the boat). Is harness available anywhere? It's bad and I by-passing it right now. But I am not getting power to the spark plugs. What is the motor shut controlled by so I can bypass it also. Is it the wire that attaches to the magneto?

But my main question is, where is the best source for parts?

Welcome to iboats

Here is a link to a Service Manual. It does have a couple of Typos.

Electrical Manual

There used to be links to sites that did sell Wiring Harnesses for old motors, but it seems they have evaporated

Parts: iboats sell parts https://ww2.iboats.com/Boat-Motor-Parts/dm/view_id.268656
There are others but since iboats sponsors this site, they can't be named

The magneto makes it own spark.----And 12 volts is not needed from a battery to run this engine.

A 1960 would be, as racer said, Magneto. In 1961, both Magneto and Battery Ignition were offered, depending on the Model
