I have never had one of these engines apart would really like some pointers/tips. Run for aprox 2min lost about 1/4cup fuel in water. No leaks in fuel lines or carbs. pull spark plugs #4cyl water droplets on plug. My first guess is the head/gaskets But I would like to know if the intake or crankcase is water cooled aswell. Is there another way for water to get into it.

It's possible for water to come in through the exhaust gasket too. If you find that #4 is low that indicates a head gasket.

Thank you. I will check overall compression and check the exhaust seal as well.. It could use a good tuneup anyway. Thanks again

Most likely a blown head gasket - not uncommon and that's what I would check first...
