1960 2hp west bend lower unit lube

what do i do to keep the lower unit in gear oil, can't see where to put in, thanks dave
i see a plug just below the prop but that is it, it's also smaller than the standard plug, i am missing this plug so if anyone has id be interested in purchase part#19109 gear housing plug, thanks
