Why do projects always follow me home??

Once I get my Glasspar done, I've got another project... This is kind of a dream boat for me, though-

Lake N Seas have always been one of my favorites, but there are not many around, and the odds of running across one in my neck of the woods seemed kind of slim... Until this one turned up about 5 miles away from me!

She's seen better days- I pulled her out of the weeds after about 15 years sitting there. But, I've seen worse. Most of it is there, too!

I just LOVE those lines... And, Check out that transom and FINS-

She'll get a full restoration after I finish the Glasspar...

Re: 1959 Lake 'N Sea Caribbean

Thanks, Arch...

Though she looks a bit rough, it's actually not bad- Mostly solid. This is a cosmetic project for the most part.

I already located the two missing hardware pieces, a hinge for the rear seat, and the dash emblem... I'm most excited about the dash emblem, it's a huge cast chromed piece... Luckily for me a sharp eyed fellow 'glassic boat collector (That's the fancy name for someone who buys a lot of these old junkers:) ) located one for me in Ohio, on a similar boat that's beyond salvage.

I also scored a motor for it- 28 HP evinrude, 1963 model. Its a little newer than the boat, but looks good on there... I couldn't pass it up for what I paid!
