About a year ago I bought this boat. Now 50 years old. She had sit in salt water for years and was in poor shape. The bottom was the main problem. She had several dips almost one inch deep a foot or two square in the bottom. The worst was immediately in front of the transom. After using both mat and cloth, the bottom is relatively flat. Finished today coating graphite on the bottom. Now the remaining problem. The keel is heavy aluminum. It bows in the center of the bottom effectively cupping the bottom for about 14 feet in length. The cup is about one and a half inch deep. The bottom is otherwise quite level. Previously she planned poorly and handled worse. It will be several weeks before I can try her. What is the chance it will handle decently? Or should I attempt to remove the 14 foot cup? Thanks in advance.
