Updates yes, fishing no. (But soon!) I haven't been working on it much because I've been waiting on parts, but the last one finally arrived yesterday. I started putting it back together but didn't get very far before I had to stop for the day. But tomorrow or the next day I should have more news to tell about! (Hopefully good news lol.)

Oh, I leak tested the gearcase AFTER using the rtv and it leaked. It was that propeller shaft seal, where there's metal on metal contact where it presses in. I was mad because there was rtv and already oil in it, but I got it apart and back together and now it doesn't leak a SINGLE air bubble.

So I finally got it all back together. I got some car door seal for the cowling off Amazon like @Crosbyman said, and that worked sweet. The last thing is I can't find that huge bolt that sandwiches the extension on the bottom back of the lower unit, so I'm gonna have to find that before I start it lol. By lunch I should know whether all the work was for something... or nothing. (Knock on wood!)

Well, I started her up! As far as I can tell she runs SWEET. I didn't get the rpm's all the way up because there's no load, so I'm waiting until we can go to a lake. But I got it as high as it was having problems last time and it did great. It is pumping a lot more water since I fixed the broken hose, and it seems to run quieter, maybe because I replaced the power head gasket. I'll let you know when I do the final test on a lake.
