1957 Johnson Fuel Pump Conversion

I am working on a 1957 35hp Johnson I drilled out side cover for the new fuel pump is there anything else I need to do to make this motor run on single hose tank the motor is going on my 1957 aluminum Starcraft speedqueen boat
