Just starting to look at my pair of 57 Bigtwin 35s serial # 25930 07524 and a few questions came to mind. Is the fuel mixture the same as in previous years at 26 to 1? I have 2 line fuel fittings on both so I assume they are still using pressurized fuel tanks. Is the generator original equipment or an option? I have a bracket on 1 motor but no generator and no bracket or generator on the other.I'm assuming the only function of the generator is to keep the battery charged so its not a necessity.I need to make a wiring harness and I'm pretty sure I am never going to find an original wiring harness plug. Does anyone have a wiring schematic? Do the wires for the generator and voltage regulator need to be eliminated? Thanks Jenny

The fuel mix is 24:1 as your other motors.

The generator on that model was an option. Rare actually to find one so good for you. For that motor they are not critical, you can eliminate them if you want. I use a solar charger on my motors and keeps them up all year long. I only have 1 generator on my 57 Javelin.

The harnesses can still be found. Finding them in relatively good shape can be difficult, but still possible. I have a few, but Im not selling them, lol. Post a wanted ad at aomci.org.

You can still buy them new actually, but not cheap. This is the only spot to get them.
