I am doing this at work so I do not have model # handy but I do know for sure it is a 1956 Johnson 18HP w/o electric start. I have had this motor for 3 years always started on 3rd pull, I sold it a year ago and ended up getting it back with a melted piston. I changed the powerhead out and she turns over great, but will catch once run for about 10 seconds and die then will not restart for about 15-20 minutes. On startup w/ choke closed there is gas leaking out of carb throat but it does start. Both idle and fast mixture screws are out 1.5 turns and she does have 2 new plugs along with new coils, points and condensors. I have 2 sore shoulders from 7 hours of straight pulling to get her to run-I am not joking. I worked on cars (professionally) for 7 years so I know my way very well around engines but this is just driving me nuts. Thanks for any help you can give<br />Garry
