Hello all, been awhile,,finally getting around to rebuilding the lower end on my little 10, modelQD17, serial,1453801, hit a snag,, are the forward and reverse bushings interchangeable (the same size) or not,,apparently I received the wrong bushing, the front bushing was basically welded to the gear, removed and cleaned, ready to put back together,,just wanted to find out before going after another one, from (the old timers) someone who has the knowledge,, thanks for the time and effort,,

Forward and reverse are different. Bushing is pressed into the forward gear, and bushing is full floating in the reverse gear. That is because the reverse gear and prop shaft are rotating in opposite directions when running in forward gear.
