I've had this boat for 14 years. I finally got to the restoration, I retired.

The transom was rotted so I glassed another in using 2- 3/4" and 1- 1/2" plywood sandwiched with fiberglass. Now I'm removing the paint with a chemical stripper, wire brushing, and sand paper.

Does anyone know what size motor this boat takes? It's 18' long and 74" at the beam. Deep v hull. Here's some pics of the boat and progress.

I found a 1960 Johnson for the boat, 60 hp. Stripping done, and 1st sanding.
Gluvit in the seams and on the rivets. Am re-building the trailer and getting ready to paint the boat. It's too hard to attach photos here so I'll post on lonestarboat .com which I can post without reducing my images. I don't have the time.
