I have to pump the primer button on the 2 line tank to keep the motor running at high speed. So I put all new gaskets on the gas tank and still have the same problem. But it idles ok. Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you,
Rich

Disconnect the air hose at the tank and put you finger over the end of the hose with the motor running. Should be slight pressure (+/- 4psi). If you have pressure there and no pressure build-up in the tank, there is a leak in the tank that you missed. Slop a bunch of soapy water all over the tank to find it. If no pressure at the hose, retry the same thing , disconnecting the hose that comes from the intake manifold at the fuel connector. If none there, the check valves are bad in the motor's intake manifold. I hear alcohol in todays gas is messing them up. Oops, forgot to suggest a bad o-ring in the fuel connector.

There is pressure in the tank when it's run; it hisses a whole bunch when unscrewing the cap.

The gasket kit did not come with a cap gasket. I"ll look into that.

Thank you for all the help guys. I will try all of these suggestions on my next days off.
