You can find a shop manual for your engine on the internet. That's the first thing you should buy. One place that has them is marineengine.com.

Libraries often have copies of the Seloc or Clymer manuals that cover these old engines as well.

Also, do a search on this forum. Those 10 hp QD models are quite popular and there are quite a few message threads on them here.

Howdy, Savage.

Welcome to iboats. :)

You came to the right place.

QD-15 (1954): BoreXstroke 2-3/8"X 1-7/8".
16.6 Cubic inch twin cylinder.
10HP @ 4000rpm

Double mageneto ignition. Point gap .020"
Champion J6C (replaced J6J) spark plugs gapped at .030".

Fuel mix: 24:1, 87 octane unleaded gas and TC-W3 rated outboard oil. One quart oil to a six gallon tank of gas. Uses pressure tank system, no fuel pump.

Weight: 60lb.

Very good little engines that are smooth running and easy to work on. Very torquey at low rpm/trolling speeds.

Aftermarket manuals here: http://www.boatmotors.com/manuals.html

marineengine.com (mentioned by CAT) and kencook.com have reprints of the original OEM Manuals, which I recommend, or you might find one on ebay.

You can find some parts here: http://www.boatmotors.com/parts/

Parts can also be ordered from your JohnnyRude dealer or a NAPA store.

Treat her well, she is a winner. :)
