1953 Evinrude (welding)

Can the front handle where the steering hooks on be welded? Mine fell over (still kicking myself in ***) and was bent(cracked). Looks like cast aluminium.

I would take it to a welder & have him look at it.

yes it can be welded ! it isnt the easyest of metals to work with it is very easy to over heat and drop out wile welding but is very doable try to have as clean as possable area to be welded when you take it to someone good luck
