Had to replace broken handle, put it back together with new impeller (because the old one fell apart in my hands), now it doesn't pump water, only blows steam out the "pee hole". It was pumping before I took it apart. Does anyone have a diagram that shows parts to make sure i am not missing anything?

Thanks!

If your testing in a tank is the water up to the mount bracket?
I believe there is a drive pin for the impeller,is it in place?
Are you sure the water tube is assembled right?
Some crap from the bad impeller may have plugged things up.

I have the parts manual for the 7512 if you want it PM me your email address and request.

And yes, make sure it's low enough in the water.

Are you sure it is a 1953? Has a neutral clutch? The most often-made mistake is not getting all the pump parts and spring aligned properly. Everything is keyed to fit a certain way. Pump housing to plate, spring to pump housing, the whole thing to the upper housing. If not aligned, it won't work.

Drive pin is in place, sure it is a 53, it does have the neutral clutch. I can suck water thru the cooling system (yeah its gross) so i know it isn't plugged. Water was up to just below the "pee hole". Is there supposed to be a seal around the prop shaft? Maybe i didn't sand down the impeller enough or may be too much how big is it supposed to be?

Thanks for the replies

Ah, so. So you installed a do-it-yourself impeller. It needs to be same thickness as housing depth. Not very forgiving, either.
