Both those controls change the ratio of gasoline to air that the carburator delivers to the engine. Since an engine needs to run richer at idle than anywhere else, there are two adjustments. The Low Speed Adjuster sets mix at idle by controlling flow to the idle jets, and the High speed adjuster controls flow to the main jet. The high speed adjuster was later removed from later outboards, and replaced with a fixed high speed jet. <br />To set them up, go
