how can i go about getting a parts list for this motor so that i may begin chasing parts? It seems that this is the first step to cracking one of these puppies oopen? thanks!

Your outboard is neither Johnson nor Evinrude, Aaron. Sea King, like all "store brand" outboards, are covered in the Other Outboard Brands forum. I will move this there for you.

I just got a manual and parts list for mine from Ken Cook.I think it`s www.outboardmanuals.com

i got my hands on a service and parts manual from acme, are those part numbers still usable or do i need to find substitutes for everything? where is the best place to start?
