1802 trophy vhf question

Hey Guys, i finally bought a fixed mount vhf, My question is were did you install the antenna. i bought a five foot with the rachet type mount.
im not sure were to install it and or drill holes. any help would be appreciated

On my 2302 I put my 8 footer on the starboard side between the curve of the winsheild and the throttle, that way I could raise and lower mine from the helm in a snap,all I have to do is reach over the side glass.

I had installed mine on the starboard side wing when I had my 1802. You will need to re-enforce the mount with a piece of wood as it's only fiberglass at that point. It worked out very well for me. You can see it in the picture below about a foot behind the portal.
