I have a '58 Johnson 18 electric start also and need that connector. It's an odd one and I have not found one yet. Was considering making one.

Lots of luck. I have a 72 25HP. I looked for a year and a half. Finally found a NOS that as retiring dealer had. Contacted him thru eBay. Cost me $125.00 for NOS harness, key switch and choke switch.
They are very scarce, to say the least, out of production and not available from BRP.

Re: 18 Fast Twin Wiring

It's easy enough to wire the motor, provided the motor is not taken off of the boat very often. 4 wires to the ignition and kill switch (2 from the magneto for the kill, 1 choke if needed, 1 ignition), plus one heavier fused hot wire and maybe a ground. I used Monster 4 conductor cable for the ignition, and it has not broken down at all due to UV or heat. Throw in a couple of 3 or 4 gauge in battery cables and you're done
