170 mercruiser stator install

I pulled off the harmonic balancer there wasn’t a stator there? I have a new one but don’t see how it goes on or what to wire it too?

Does your boat have an alternator conversion? If so, the voltage regulator would have died, and it was cheaper to install an alternator vs spending $500 on a voltage regulator

If you do have the alt conversion and purchased a stator, that was an expensive mistake.. May be able to resell it though
