I'm in the process of repairing a 1978 17" Sea Nymph to get it ready for a little fishing in the SF bay and a few other places.
I've been taking a few pictures of the progress and eventually will get them posted.
Currently I have the "old" plywood of the transom out to be replaced.
For some reason the former wood of the transom stopped about 3 1/2 inches above the bottom of the hull.
My plan is to extend the new plywood to about 1/4 inch of the bottom and epoxy coat the wood before installing.
Once installed I thought I'd calk between the bottom of the plywood and hull.
Am I doing this "right" ?
