I have a 14' Lund S14 DLX which is about the same weight and size as the 14' Rebel. When I first got the boat I had to put an engine on it and at first found an 18hp Evinrude. With just me in the boat it did well. Add another person and it was just Ok but I could tell there was a drop off in performance. Later changed it to a 35hp and there was a huge difference.
Is this Rebel a tiller model? A 25hp will work but a 35hp would be much better and depending on the model there is a 50 to 75hp max capacity.
