I have an early 70's crestliner admiral. 16' I'm thinking I want to remove the bench seats and put in a deck with pedestal seats. my concern is this. is it possible? And if so, can I set the decking on top of the stringers running from left to right or would that make the seating/decking too high causing the boat to be unstable? If I put the deck in lower where the stringers are exposed can they be cut down? I obviously don't want to make the boat unstable but would like the floor space since we always take the dog along and it would make it easier to get around the boat. Any thoughts,opinions comments or suggestions welcomed!! Thanks in advance
