Hi guys,

New to forum....newer to boating......Have found a boat we like. 5.44m (almost 18ft) fibreglass, Merc 150hp optimax outboard.....We had a test drive today and we like the boat, but I noticed a decent amount of vibration in lower RPM's, at idle it was without, and also 2500 and higher rpm's it didn't show either. Boat in less than 1 yr old and approx. 22hrs on the dial. Prop I think was a 19", need to check again.

Should there be vibrations in lower rev's at all ? is there something I should be worried about ? if its a minor easy to fix issue, I can deal with that, just don't want to find ourselves regretting our 1st boat purchase due to a constant vibration that is the initial signs that hit something or the outboard has issues. warranty still exists.

Before anyone asks, I have spent the last hour traversing the multitude of Viobration threads without finding any that are similar, i.e. almost new boat/engine etc.....
