ive changed 3 of them now every time i put a new one in it will run just perfect for about 10 min.and it will pop and miss and then die out and it blows the stators.please help me,this is on a 1990 force 150hp.by us marine 5 hole
have u made sure that all ur wiring is correct? are u sure its blowing the stator? did u try resistance tests or tests on any other ignition coponents? are u sure that the fly wheel isnt scuffing any wires?
im half way threw the test and still no good news.why would it run so smooth and good for 10 min.then stop that really has me stumped.but will do all testing monday thanks for reply.
well, from what i hear but have no experience with is that the CDs dont like a hot engine if they are bad. most likely something is heating up and touching inside the cd's and causing the short to short ur stator.
