140 Johnson temp light

When I start the boat, the temp light comes but it is very faint. Runs fine and is not in cripple mode or anything. Clean the battery post and still doesn't work seems very weird. Engine is pissing just fine and isn't running hot. Any ideas?

2003 140 Johnson not sure of the model # but its 2044 CC. Work on it a little bit. Seems like the wiring coming from the engine has a very small ground to it. No enough to make the light full, just dim. Not sure if its a bleed over in the ECM or grounded somewhere in the boat.

I would check ALL wires, and connections from Tach to engine including the ecm connections, and battery cables at the engine side.
Disconnect the 2 heat sensors, if light goes out, check the sensors iaw the manual. The ecm can cause this also.
