I recently aquirred an Appleby model 14thbb 14 ft tri hull fishing boat.
I was wondering what the approximate cost would be to have the deck replaced?
The previous owner used what looks large screws to secure both seats to the deck with some success.
Looks like the deck does need replaced. Is this considered major work? She seems pretty servicable besides that.
This is my first boat and I want to get it on the watre next spring first thing..

thanks in advance

Re: 14 ft deck replacement

Visit us in the restoration forum and see if you'd like to do this job yourself.

You'll save at least $500 by doing it yourself and you'll know the job was done right. It's impossible to find competent prople to work on a boat for a reasonable price, and even if you pay high dollor you're still liable to get a crappy job more times than not.

More than likely if the deck is back so are the stringers and perhaps transom. If that's the case then you may be looking at a major overhaul. Check for soft spots and cracks in the transom under the splashwell, on top the the transom outside or the back skin. It's had to put a price on anything without knowing the extent of the damage.
