Hi. I am rewiring my boat and was thinking if it's fine to extend the appliances 16 AWG wires with a 14 AWG wire?, that would go into the rocker switch panel. The panel has a 16 AWG daisy chain as well.

Thank you

What are you powering? If it's just lights, gauges, and stuff, you should be fine. If is's a bait well and/or bilge pump, check the item to see what gauge wires come out of it and don't go lower.

I got 200' of 14AWG wire and none 16AWG left. I was thinking about using it for all rocker switches. Including lights, bait well and manual bilge pump switch. The wires that come out of the pumps are 16AWG
