125 hp LU drain plug stripped.

Hex drain plug is stripped pretty badly and I really don't want to mess with it.
Would it be ok to refill until clean gear oil drains from vent plug?

Yes.
If there is any water then no.
Just do it twice.Run it between changes.

You could take a pump and a little hose or tube and empty the foot which would certainly remove as much as a drain plug removal would, and then simple refill it until the oil does start coming out. Works for me...

Concur with the pump and tube procedure. In fact, some Force motors LU do not even have drain plugs and have to be pumped out and filled this way.

Thanks guys. I'll try the tube next time . I just changed the impeller and after removing the prop, removed the bottom nut (behind prop) and got the gear oil to drain. No water.
