I put a teleflex temperature gauge on my 1989 force outboard. Not doing some research i put a gauge that reads 130 degree to 240 degree(something like that). My question is should i put a psi gauge on it instead of temperature. The needle i barely moving and looking at some old Forum i guess the motor runs around 130 degrees. Also what would be consider hot temperature of the motor(150 degrees)?
Thank you

Re: 125 force temperature Gauge

I have a 125 Force that I put both temp and PSI gauge. Temp gauge is almost usless. My gauge starts out at 120 - 240 degrees. It barley moves. PSI gauge on the other hand is pretty active depending on engine speed. The PSI gauge gives you a better indication of water flow and reacts quicker to any problems.
