Hey everyone i have a question. I have a 2000 nitro with a 125 elpto. Its got a lazer 2 prop with a 26 pitch. Thats too much right? It feels like it takes too much to get on plain.

Re: 125 elpto prop question

What is your WOT RPM?

If WOT RPM is too much on the low side of the recommended operating range AND motor mounting height is perfected, THEN maybe 26 pitch may be too much.

Before you buy another prop verify that your tune up is also perfected, timing, carb link and synch, etc.

The vented Lazer prop should let the motor 'spool up' and help make a good holeshot, if you have remmoveable 'vent plugs' in the prop take them out and retest holeshot.

Unless that boat is real light (think surfboard with motor), that 26P prop is likely too much. What year is the motor and what kind and length is the boat.(bassboat, runabout...)

too much prob, dial back a few than try, find a prop calculator, turning point props has a good one.

That is a bassboat style? If so, probably too much prop pitch. The year of the motor will tell us the gear ratio, which is helpful.
