Hey guys.......I busted up the lower unit on my early 80's Merc inline 6 90hp. (Looking for a new one if u know of a good deal I found a 79 inline 115hp and was wondering if they have the same gear ratio.. I think it will bolt right up but..... anyone know off hand if the ratio match up or will work?

2:1 . Earlier low HP inlines had the 1.86:1 or something like that.

All the inline 6 motors are 2:1 ratio except the 1970-71 1150 and 1350.....
