Align the timing make at TDC, one on the flywheel and the other under the belt drive plate on the dist. then remove the cap from the dist and the belt from the drive, next the flywheel and drive pulley on the dist shaft. 3 bolts hold the dist assm. Do not touch the idle and spark advance screws, remove the plate there in from the engine (2-1/4" bolts) Now there are 3 bolts holding the dist to the engine,remove the nuts and the dist will come out. Remove the upper bearing, there is a nut that under it that holds the rotor in. Next mark the timing plate so you know which side is down as it will go in either way and screw up the timing. Use great CARE to support the timing plate so you do not knock the sensor of the dist housing. Thats the $300 mistake. Reassemble in reverse order you propaply have ruined the top bearing so replace it and recheck the timing on the engine. PIECE OF CAKE
