i have a 1974 1150 inline 6 that was completely overhauled by a reputable marine mechanic.it hasnt ran properly since.it has no hole shot.my tach quit, but it doesnt seem to hit top rpms . when you hit the throttle the motor shakes and slowly picks up .with 2 adults in the boat i cant pull my 11 year old on a tube .cleaned carbs, new plugs, new fuel line there is only about 4hours onthe motor .how do you do a linc & sinc maybe timing out .its been 3 years since rebuilt and the mechanic has since retired and closed shop .last summer i tracked him down and he looked at it and found 2plugwires mixed up that helped abit but its still not right.at wot it seems to bog down till you back off the throttle a touch. can someone help me

If the engine has not run right since you got it back he don't sound to reputable to me, nyway if you do the syn and link as clams tell you and the engine still don't run right I would suspect that when it was overhauled the cyls. were either out of round or tapered beyond specs an the rings won't seat
