I thought I had a 115, but when I found the serial numbers ( if I translated it right) it is a 1993 90 hp. The cover to the motor has 115 vro. I found the serial number on the bracket that bolts on to the transom. Are these the right numbers? I am lost on this one.

Usually are, you might just have a different cowl. You can always double check the number on the frost plugs. They are usually silver, about the size of a dime to quarter with the id numbers on it. Cross reference them with your numbers on the stern brackets.

So the frost plugs should have the same number (E90JLETS)?

Correct. Like cougar said, Im not sure if someone changed the cowl or stern brackets. Cross reference the numbers. The frost plug numbers will be correct for sure. Look at the top backside of the motor. Heres a link to double check the year and model, Good luck

O.k I found the frost plug, but one letter is unreadable. It is a 115, the first number for the year is unreadable, the second is a T which converts to a 3. So if that is right it should be a 1993. Cause I think they didnt start making the vro till 86. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks
