I am currently looking for a motor to replace my 1994 115 hp Johnson. After a recent visit to the dealer, I was told that the #1 cylinder was going bad & only tested at 18% on a leak down test. Was told it would cost $4500 for a total rebuild, so I am considering a swap with another another used motor to replace it with & had some questions....
I am open for getting an older or less hp replacement motor.
I would like keep it as simple as possible by not having to swap out my controls & keeping the ones that are in the boat now, what years & sizes must I stay within to avoid
