115 Etec hard miss

Have a 2007 115 Etec that has a hard miss with low idle (it's so hard it almost feels like a physical hit when cold). Upper throttle positions are better, but the tach still twitches a bit like she is cutting out on a cylinder. This is a new boat to me and I have outboard experience, but not with the OB EFI units. Past records indicate: fuse blowing on startup, a replacement of #3 injector, then later an entire engine controller. Looks to me like someone has been chasing this condition for some time. Ideas?

Look to see if it has the optical ignition

Doubt that E-TEC uses optical ignition.----Drained gear oil ?

suggest you visit the ETEC ownner's board with ETEC questions... you need EV diagnostics on a w10 laptop to look-see inside the EMM computer ...

first thing to look at is the fault log for active faults.

blowing 10 amp fuses are frequently assoc. with bad EMM $$$

check bacic stuff... filter fuel pressure on the injectors, lift pump screen ...

try some EVinrude engine cleaner in a fresh tank
