I have a friend with an 89 or maybe a 1990 110 V-4 Evinrude. Upon rebuilding the carbs this weekend I noticed a rubber hose that I cant find a home for, I didnt remove it from anything. The engine has 2 small rubber hoses ( thick bodied) running into the crank case on each side of the block ( total of 4), then coming forward of the powerhead and going into t's that also go into the reed housings. There is a hose that is connect to these on the starboard side that has no home and is open to the environment. If the engine is started there is a slight vaccume pulse that I can feel at the lines outlet so I know its crankcase pulse I am feeling. Where the heck does this thing plug into ?? the end of it is cracked along the length of the hose so I think it came from a nipple but I looked for hours and couldnt find anyting. One tech at a marina told my buddy it was a crank vent ????? OMG !!!! I told him no way you dont vent the crankcase on a 2 stroke unless you want a problem, it has to go somewhere. Anyone steer me towards a schematic or a diagram that might show this hoses routing and ultimate end location ???
Thanks
