I have a 1988 crestliner phantom (dry weight 1075lbs) with a 1988 110 evinrude. It currently has a 13 3/4 x 15 prop but is pretty chewed up. I was wondering what the most pitch that i could run is. It currently runs about 5800 rpms full throttle with current prop. I have some adjustment in the linkage for more rpms as ive seen it up to 6500 rpms before after some adjustments.

It would be best to get the prop repaired and get a fresh set of numbers max rpm and speed with your linkage adjusted.Charts say 5,500 is the max rpm.. Rpm without the speed doesn't help much. Your dinged up prop will usually distort numbers on the hgh side.

I really dont want to spend the money to get my prop repaired when i was planning on getting one with a little more pitch as im looking for a little more speed. The butterflies on the carbs only open up about 3/4 of the way at full speed.

5800 is good , if you think theres that much adjustment room the go with a 17 which will bring you down to about 5300. then you can tune to 5600. hole shot will be worse but top speed will increase a little

What brand of prop is good? Seems like Solas has the cheapest ones and ive heard good things about the Quicksilver. Any suggestions?
