10hp Evinrude 10016

I have an old Evinrude Sportwin 10hp motor, model 10016. Is this a 1958 year? Where can I get manuals, parts, etc. Specifically, need to rebuild carb.

i have this motor also and it is a 58. i started with an original parts manual that i got off of ebay and a seloc repair manual. carb rebuild kits are easy to come by. i think i bought at least one here at iboats. my 10016 is running great thanks to the folks here. im a hack but i may be able to help. good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I thought it was a 58, just wasn't sure. I am new at this forum stuff, so I hope this gets to you. I hope I have as much success as you seem to have had rebuilding the carb. I'm also going to try to change it over to use a single-line fuel pump instead of the dual-line pressure tank. I have found a lot of information and detailed instructions of how to perform the change. Is this something that you did? If so, how did it work out?

hey,
actually the first thing i did was to check the compression. wich you should do also. i stayed with the pressure tank. the original parts manual has an exploded view of the tank and a rebuild kit was easy to come by. good luck.
