Hello. I recently acquired an old boat and 1967 Johnson 100HP engine. Does anyone have an electrical schematic for this beast? Someone just chopped all the connections and I don't know what goes with what. It's electric shift and electric choke. It's a mess. It seems close to starting when jumped (need new points, I think).

Also, anything else I should know about restoring and maintaining this engine? Thanks!

These were fantastic engines, and you are probably correct that it's rarin to go.
I wouldn't rely too much on trying to get wiring diagrams here,as you will need much more info than that...For instance, recommended plugs, gaps, point gap, voltage and continuity specs. ect...
The shop manual is still available, and will pay for itself after your first use.
It takes the guess work out of the equation, saves fragile components from damage due to improper procedures and all that rot.
I know they aren't cheap, but it will be the best 25 dollar part you ever buy for your motor, hands-down.

Change the beast to battery ignition ,with distributor and parts from the 66 model . Works like a charm and is wallet friendly there after.
