I think this is my 1,000th post - going to feel like an idiot if the counter says something else.

Got my first boat in 1970. It was an 11' sailboat that a friend sold to me for a $100.00. Then came the first outboard - a 15' old glass job with a 33 Johnson. That led to a 17' to an 18' - - and you know the story. They have ranged up to a 27 1/2 traileable flybridge cruiser. I now have a 23' CC with twin SeaDrives and a 13' skiff on the property. Anyway 10 boats and 33 years later I still feel a rush when I get 1/4 mile away from the ramp.

I hope I have managed to help some folks in the last year. I am not as knowledgeable as many who post here but I have tried to share some of what I have picked up over time.

When my kids were younger they used to call me St. Howard of Garage from time to time. I enjoy puttering around with this and that. During the day my helm is at a desk or in endless meetings at Miami International Airport where I work.

This site has been great and like many who come here I have learned a lot. And - - I plan on being around for a while.

Many thanks to all,

Howard
Miami Fl
