Not much different than the regular outboard.------Disconnect shift rod up top near bottom carburetor,-----Bolts that hold the lower unit on including hidden one under trim tab.----Do not turn shift rod !!
The shift rod is adjusted / set to a precise height for correct shifting.------If you turn that rod thinking it needs to be tightened you will have problems.------Find out what the dimension is before installing the lower unit.
