My local Tahoe dealer just got back from a Tahoe convention and he says the 09 models have been completely redesigned. Looking forward to some photos soon!!!

OK, here's the scoop for 09 Tahoe's: Completely redesigned interior and new exterior graphics. If you go to their website, they are just now starting to display new pictures. I may have to buy one now...

Re: 09 Tahoes?

I saw a few Q5 2009's ... one Q4 ...look the same to me.. cup holders have stainless steel rims instead of plastic etc... little things , no carpet in the Q4 this year , except the snap in option... .. didnt see anything big..

I was told I can have an '09 for same as '08 price. I went to see it and they said, Oh sorry new prices are on website, cant offer old prices now. I asked if its the same boat which was there a week earlier they said yes, so they paid 08 price but would rather keep it then sell it for for that price.

I will probably buy a Tahoe, maybe at the boat show coming up.. but will want one ordered, not a 09 from 08 year, I dont believe it wil be the same... I thin the first 09's are not going to have the same changes. factory is still working with the mentality of 08 built? Maybe a dumb thought but will order to specs myself for spring... Hate to see the $1-2000 price increase though this year.

Re: 09 Tahoes?

Just spoke with the local Tahoe dealer and he confirmed the error with the MSRP numbers on Tahoe's website. Most 2009 models are running from 8-10% more.

I've heard the interior changes between the 08 and 09 models are quite subtle, even though Tahoe claims they have been completely redesigned.

I've attached pictures of the 2009 graphics upgrades in case anyone is interested.

Re: 09 Tahoes?

Don't like the new graphic packages. I wonder if they fixed the rear bench seat on the Q boats. On my Q7i, it only flips up half way because the engine cover obstructs for full opening. I have to hold the rear bench seat cover open with one hand while the other hand gets to whatever I need.

Re: 09 Tahoes?

OK folks, I have been researching and researching many new makes and models in the 19-23 foot range and have come to the conclusion that Tahoe's aren't much better than Bayliners. Yes, they look nice and sell for reasonable prices, but if money was no object, Crownline or Sea Ray would be the way to go for bow riders. I've personally piloted new Larsons, Crownlines, Ebbtides, Bayliners, Sea Rays, and Tahoes over the past fews months and the boat that satisfies most my needs is Four Winns, more specifically, the H220 Frenzy Edition. Sure, it costs more than the Tahoe's and Bayliner's but the quality and reliability make up for it, not including a better warranty. The Larson 226 Senza was pretty good too but we like the Four Winns a little better. Go thru and read owner comments on Bayliners and Tahoes then head over to the Four Winns and Larson forums. You'll find very few negative comments on the Four Winns/Larsons but you'll find plenty of positive AND negative comments on the Tahoes and Bayliners.

I'm not trying to disuade the purchase of a new Tahoe, because I have never owned one, but for a little more money, you'll get a better boat if you shop around.

Best of luck!

Re: 09 Tahoes?

That is a nice boat. But, with all the options I got with my Tahoe, the Four Winns costs $25,000 more. And, that's without tax, license, delivery and dealer prep. If you can afford it, Jack...Go for it! I'll stick to my Tahoe, which I'm very pleased with.

Also, I think you see more posts on Tahoes and Bayliners because more people can afford to buy the lower priced boats so there's obviously going to be more problems out there than the Four Winns or Larsens.

Good luck!
