05 Tahoe Q5 speedometer question

I just noticed my speedometer isnt working. It was working late last summer, then I stored it for the winter. I have looked but cant seem to find where it actually gauges your speed on the exterior, so I can check to make sure it isnt stopped up or whatever, etc. Please help me if you can....

Nevermind guys. Sorry. I found the answer searching the forums. Rookie mistake. Shoulda done that first. I just went outside and fixed it quick, thanks to this forum.

BradleyByley good to hear that you resolved your issue. Just for the purpose of eliminating frustrations of unanswered threads. What resolved this issue for you?

I learned from another thread that the speedometer 'pick-up' is toward the front of the prop. It is a little v shaped groove. I stole a bobby pin from my wife and gently kept digging all the sand out that had stopped up the hole. Eventually i was able to slide the bobby pin all the way in. I knew it was fixed when a small amount of water leaked out of the groove. I would have never found this if it wasn't for this awesome forum. Will definitely come back here for more 'knowledge'.
