04 50hp mercury outboard problem

I have a 2004 50hp 2 stroke mercury outboard. The problem I have is when the motor is running under a load between 2200 and 2800 rpm there is a rattle in the motor. It sounds like if you had a bolt and shook it in a plastic coffee can. It starts and idles good and any rpm outside of the 2200 to 2800 rpm range sounds and runs good. Any help would be appreciated.
