How do you bleed an oil pump?

How do you bleed the oiling system on a 2008 Mercury 250 Pro XS? I have just put this motor on and have been told to bleed it.

Thanks again, those are some nice fish. Good luck with the float-n-fly thing. Took a trip once to Cherokee Lake and tried that with no avail.... lol. Tournament this weekend though at Norman.
