Why did the manuals dissapear? Volvo 4.3SX Sadness

Hey guys,

So I talked to my dealer and found they want ~$800 to winterize and 20 hr service my 08 4.3GL...not gunna happen. I figure I can spend the money on an old billboard to cover it, some specialized tools (like the oil pump) and come out way ahead...but then I come on here and the manuals have dissapeared. :(

I did some searching, but is there a reason they left? I assume copyright, but was there any official notice served up?

Man I wish I saved them when I initially downloaded them.

I can only find manuals up to 07, and my engine is an 08. I'm guessing it'll work, but dropping $40 on something that doesn't necessarily cover my engine seems like a loser's bet.

i don't know much about vp, but have ya tried your local vp dealer. bet they can get ya what ya need.
or the vp website surely must be able to get the proper thing too...

yep, darn bummer about the s/m being gone... the almighty dollar wins again.

I'm sure if you look online (possibly eBay) you will find one.

One mistake or one thing you overlook and the manual will pay for itself.

Why do I have this silly thought running around in my head that a place named Mercstuff, might not be the right place to find Volvo Penta service manuals????

Yeah, give V-P a try. They might just sell the manuals for their own motors and drives.
