1985 Mercruiser MCM200 Cuts out @ 3100-3300 RPM

I have a 1985 Celebrity 18' runabout. It has the MCM200 5.0 Mercruiser with MR drive. When I am running around 3100-3300 RPM or so it cuts out,but anything below or beyond that runs smoothly. Curious if anyone has had this problem or would have any knowledge on what could cause this.

Ayuh,... Sounds like the Carb is messed up,...
That's about where the low-speed transistions to the hi-speed circuits...

Does that require just a basic rebuild kit, or is more in depth than that?

Ayuh,... I'm sure there's plenty of Parts in the carb rebuild kit,...
Cleaning the castings Properly might be an issue for many DIYers though...
It takes a carb soaking tank,+ lots of compressed Air to get even close to Right...
