IGNITION Help on a 1971 7.5hp

I am hoping someone can tell me the specs on checking the coils and stator on a 1971 7.5 Mercury ,that is currently getting no spark to the plugs.
I am waiting on a manual to arrive .

Be sure to check or replace the point insulator blocks they are about 80% of the problems with this system.

The pic is showing the 1974 to 1985 system..are they the same as the 1971 ?

Yes, thats a misprint as far as the years
